Gambler Lures always seeks new ways to bring fishermen innovative products in appealing patterns and colors. Knowing that customers around the world almost always have a color in mind that they cannot find, Gambler is giving them the opportunity to win a run of their own personalized scheme.
A contest will be held, utilizing Facebook, to allow anglers to submit their idea for Gambler’s next great color and what bait it should go into first. The winner of the contest will receive 1,000 baits in their color from the first run and the top two runners-up will each receive $50 in Gambler Bucks, each of the top three finishers will also receive a Gambler t-shirt and a pair of Evolution pliers. For schemes that are not selected as winners, but that are chosen by Gambler for production, the submitter will win the first run of 500 baits in their color.
"We fish and we understand that different areas, species and anglers have unique needs for a variety of colors. What better way to allow our Gambler users to get exactly what they want – while introducing everyone to something new – than to have a contest? We look forward to seeing what our customers come up with and working with them to develop their ideal color,” said Gambler President Val Osinski.
Fans will be asked to enter using a specially designated album on Facebook where fans will be able to choose their favorites – winners will be chosen based on who has the highest number of unique “comments” and “likes”. The contest will be held in two rounds – the first round will start on March 20 and run through April 1. The top three colors from the first round will make the second round, which will run from April 2-15. Colors must be submitted as images and can be hand drawn, taken from a photo or written out – each image submitted must include a description of the color, what bait they would like to see in that color first, and for those that want to take it one step further they can include their name for the color. In the event of multiple entries for the same color schemes, the first entry will be the one accepted to the contest.
